Healthy Eating

My family has made a conscious effort to live healthier, cleaner lives. We came to this decision after doing a lot of research on the effect of chemicals, fragrance, preservatives, dyes, and pesticides on our bodies after our daughter turned one. She has struggled with developmental delays, low muscle tone, and some sensory issues, which has been linked to diet. I have seen her attitude change dramatically since changing what we eat to a more balanced diet.
Happy baby, happy life. For reals.
We are still learning and make mistakes (sometimes on accident, sometimes on purpose), but it sure has been fun learning what to avoid and what to enjoy.
Here are my two favorite processed free food blogs I read:
We avoid:
Enriched flour
Hydrogenated (including partially) Oil
High Fructose Corn Syrup
Any Ingredients that aren’t actually food.
In general, we try to make our diet consist of meats and produce as often as possible.

Hey Megan, that’s awesome that you are choosing to eat “clean”! I’ve been doing a lot of research myself on the things we put in our body and have learned SO much! I saved your favorite blog sites too, so I’ll be checking those out! One book I would recommend is Clean Cuisine ( I got it for a review and love it, and think you would enjoy it too! It has lots of yummy recipes in the book and on their site. Well, I am looking forward to reading your blog!
