Last week was the worst.
Tuesday morning, I went into Allie’s room and vomit was everywhere. I snatched her up and brought her to the bathroom just in time for her to feel better. I have no idea when she did all her vomiting. I didn’t hear her cry in the night and I went to her room as soon as I had heard her fussing in the morning. At some point though, whew…she did damage. It was all over her sheets, her comforter, her floor, in her pajamas, in her hair. It was bad.
I bathed her, stripped her bed, put her back in bed, cleaned her sheets, washed her blankies twice and washed her comforter 3 times (it would not come out!), and then sanitized her room, her toys, the bathroom…the whole house.
I thought we were fine until Wednesday evening. I started feeling sick and found myself on the floor in the bathroom while my husband fed the kids dinner.
After I had finished up my vomiting episodes, I put myself to bed. At probably around 10 pm, I heard Carson whine crying from his room. I sent Adam in and he picked Carson up and brought him to the bathroom. Carson ended up sleeping in the hall with a bucket that Adam had to empty about every 20 mins or so throughout the whole night and morning.
Adam was convinced he was “the strong one” and wouldn’t get sick, but instead he shared Friday night and Saturday morning with the bathroom, sick as a dog like the rest of us.
So yeah, you are welcome for the yummy story. So glad that week is over and that we can get back to being around other humans and having fun instead of just trying to survive.
In other news, I painted our coffee table. It’s so pretty in pink. It’s a really pale pink and in some light, it looks white. I’m diggin’ it.
I had just recently painted the top white, keeping the legs wood, but the whole thing was feeling blah to me. The pink adds some interest now. And I love the gold little wheeled feet with the pink. So sweet.
Here is a before picture of the table. It’s surface was in such bad shape. The crap I had on top was covering the worst parts. It was nast.
What do you think? Are you opposed to a pink coffee table?
Have you done any painting lately? How about barfing?
Do share (the paint jobs, not the barfing)!
