I picked up some thick, high quality wrapping paper a few months ago at T.J Maxx with the intention of using it as wallpaper in my daughter’s closet. I forgot about it until I was trying to come up with a quick way to brighten up our micro kitchen. This isn’t your average wrapping paper. It looks and feels just like wallpaper without adhesive backing, except, well, it just isn’t wallpaper so I don’t plan on this lasting for long, but long enough for me to come up with another temporary backsplash solution. I don’t really want to paint in here because it would be such a pain, but we will see.
If you’re wondering, I just measured the paper, made sure the pattern lined up, took off the outlet covers, and then taped it on my wall. Pretty ghetto, but I like the results. I’ve had it up for a week and it still is in tip top shape. Good tape, I suppose.
The pink is so fun in here. I’m loving pink right now and while I know pink isn’t for everyone, I cannot get enough. Pink for the win!
Would you use wrapping paper to cover your walls or use as a backsplash? It’s exhilarating, trust me.
Who wants to take bets on how long it will last?
