I haven’t rushed into changing everything in our master bedroom like I thought I would. My original plan was to paint a mint accent wall and paint our white dresser emerald instead. I’m still planning on painting our dresser a green, just not sure on which shade. I’m kind of leaning towards a brighter green, like kelly green maybe. The mint wall is out though. For one super crazy second, I thought maybe I could get away with having two accent walls, but then my husband, Adam, brought me back to planet Earth.
You see, I received some stripes from Walls Need Love to try out in my home and while I had intentions of using them in the living room, I couldn’t stop imagining them in our bedroom. Our room was in desperate need of some cool vibe and I knew these would be the ticket to get it there. So yeah, the stripes won the battle for accent wall in the master.
These stripes have got to be the coolest things ever. I chose the size and color (they have like a million options) and Walls Need Love sent me a couple 50 ft rolls.
So, I haven’t mentioned…the stripes are removable and repositionable!! HELLOooo RENTERS (and smart people who don’t want to spend forever painting striped walls)!! To apply the temporary stripes, I started at the top of the middle of my wall, let the roll drop down, and slowly peeled the paper back and smoothed the vinyl onto my wall until the bottom where I would use a blade to cut the vinyl along the baseboard. You can use a laser to get perfectly straight lines, but to be honest, I didn’t and I think mine turned out perfect. At the end I had two stripes that were slightly off so I removed them and repositioned them to be straight. I had no issues with tearing or bubbling, like you might with cheap, thin vinyl. This is quality, totally reusable stuff. The whole wall took me about 20 minutes. I am so happy with it and could not recommend trying this enough. Yes, try this at home kids.
Seriously, go check out Walls Need Love.
Their stuff is crazy affordable (especially compared to other temporary wall paper) and so awesome.
Stripes? I’m head over heels for ours. You gotta try them. And then tell me about it. You can thank me (them) later.
I received product for free, however, these opinions are totally my own. I am majorly in love with Walls Need Love and their amazing products. I had no obligation to write this post.
